Pistol 10m

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
RULES FOR 10 METRE PAPER TARGETS

Standard shooting safety rules to apply at all times

  •   All competitors must be familiar with BASC codes of practice.
  •   All pistols to be carried to and from the range in a suitable box or case
  •   Pistols to be held muzzle down and only loaded on the firing line
  •   Pistols to be .177 calibre . Only flat headed pellets (wadcutters)

To be used

  Scopes, lasers and red dot sights are permitted in ‘Scoped’ category

  Iron sights only permitted in ‘Open Sights’ category

  Shooting stance - single or double handed, straight arm, unsupported

  Scoring will be as indicated on target cards. Scores to be checked by two club members

  Competitors are allowed only one target card per section

  There will be no ‘catch up’ system in use. All targets must be shot on the designated Competition day 


Pistol HFT

Standard shooting safety rules to apply at all times

  •   All competitors must be familiar with BASC codes of practice.
  •   All pistols to be carried to and from the range in a suitable box or case

  Pistols to be held muzzle down and only loaded on the firing line. Pistols must be carried unloaded between lanes

  Pistols of any calibre may be used

  Red dot sights are permitted in ‘Scoped’ category (telescopic scopes

& lasers are not permitted)

  Iron sights only are permitted in ‘Open Sights’ category

  Shooting stance - single or double handed, straight arm, unsupported

  Shots may be taken standing or kneeling. Shooters must be in contact with the peg at all times

  The course will consist of not less than 30 targets

  Targets will be set at between 10 and 25 yards and must be shot left

to right in order

  Scoring— as per standard HFT—2 points for a knockdown, 1 point for a hit, 0 for a miss
